Replying to @Catholic_Colin_ Thanks, Colin, for this post! Our Lady of Seven Sorrows is the Patroness of Slovakia, based on a 1927 decree by Pope Pius XI. It is also a secular holiday in this country, i.e. no school/work. The basilica minor in Šaštín (pictured) gathers thousands of pilgrims every year.
COVID lockdowns, the gas lighting, etc. I predicted back then that violence of this type in countries where they went overboard with restrictions would rise. Even in a country like Slovakia, a high schooler with a manifesto full of reddit memes, shot up a gay bar, killing two.
