|   Ohi Day HistoryOhi Day commemorates the anniversary of the Greek dictator, Metaxas, saying “ohi (no)” to the ultimatum made by Italian dictator, Benito Mussolini, in 1940. Italy then attacked the Greek border, which officially began Greece’s participation in World War II and automatically aligned them with the Allied forces. Ohi Day is celebrated 28 October annually.
