Rav Shimon Felix how Lag B'Omer went from a folk festival, mainly for Sefardim, to this neochassidic rebbe festival. I'm listening to Kol B'Rama talk about the miracles that can happen to anyone who donates money to some mekubalim this evening.
Follow the money.
The Omer (Hebrew: ל״ג בעומר) refers to the 49 days between Passover and Shavuot. Lag B'Omer is the thirty-third day of counting of the Omer and falls on the lunar date of 18th Iyar (May).
