Happy Hallowe’en! Our office in Dublin will be closed on Monday, 31st October as it is a bank holiday in Ireland. This year the date coincides with Hallowe’en. Did you know that Hallowe’en originated in Ireland as the Celtic festival of Samhain?

Which really should be a Bank Holiday!
Why? England has fewer public holidays than most countries - only 8. In contrast, Scotland has 9, N Ireland 10, Germany at least 10, France & USA 11, Spain 13.

Christine, Halloween has not been simple in Ireland this century. They adopted the US version before the UK did. The last Monday in October is a bank holiday there and that may be the reason they go all out in celebrating it. #loosewomen

Happy Halloween from 1045 LLC! The fun holiday originated with the Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in what is now Ireland and the UK. The Celts believed that on the night of October 31, the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. Today, it is a time to dress up and have fun! https://t.co/KnA9pN2WGN
